MOTORI MINARELLI RETURNS TO EICMA 2022
WITH THE NEW 300cc ENGINE
Motori Minarelli will be returning to EICMA for the second year running. This time it will
be officially presenting, among other things, the new 300cc injection racing engine for
Enduro bikes and its latest new technologies
8 November 2022 – EICMA MILANO
Motori Minarelli – Motori Minarelli celebrated its seventieth anniversary with fellow enthusiasts at the 2021 edition of EICMA, and will be making a second appearance this year at Stand I34 in Hall 15, to present some of its main new developments.
The official version of the brand new engine will be previewed for the occasion: a single-cylinder 300cc 2-stroke Minarelli engine with electronic injection and electric start, specifically designed for Enduro racing bikes. This engine was entirely designed and produced in-house by Motori Minarelli, with the support of the University of Modena in the field of research in fluid-thermo-dynamic engines. The new MM 300 – 300cc 2T FI Euro 5 was designed with power and great acceleration in mind, to guarantee the utmost in off-road performance. A decompression system to reduce mechanical momentum at start-up ensures speed on restart, while an innovative exhaust valve optimises performance at low to medium revs. Field-tested by several Fantic riders, it has already demonstrated its power and effectiveness and become the undisputed star of numerous races.
Also on display at the stand will be the legendary AM6 50cc 2T Carb engine, now updated to Euro 5 configuration. It exceeded one million units sold in 2022, meeting as always with the great satisfaction of all Motori Minarelli customers. And the evolution of the AM6 does not stop here: you will be able to find out about a configuration that Motori Minarelli is also studying in collaboration with the best Italian research centres, to make this engine compliant with the stringent Euro 5+ regulations. Not to be missed instead is the revolutionary MM 125 – 125cc 4T FI Euro 5, equipped with variable ignition timing, slipper clutch and electronic injection, the sales numbers of which continues to make it a veritable market leader. Many motorbike manufacturers choose these engines for their top models due to their exceptional performance and reliability.
Motori Minarelli is committed to investing in innovation, research and development. The historic headquarters in Lippo di Calderara di Reno (BO), in the heart of the Motor Valley, has recently acquired new tools for design and improvement of production processes to maintain its role as a cutting-edge European motorsport hub.
Women account for 60% of the work force at Motori Minarelli. Representing these quotas at the stand will be Jane Daniels and her Fantic XEF 250. She won the Enduro Women’s World Championship 2022 and was the winner of the last 6 Days of Enduro in the overall and team categories with Team UK. Jane’s bike is fitted with the Enduro MM Racing Parts kit, which can also be seen in a showcase at the Motori Minarelli stand. The special parts on display are the result of analysis and experimentation by the company’s Research and Development department.
Motori Minarelli began its energy transition this year, and will be adding two production lines to its two existing ones for zero-emission products in early 2023.
